		<description>Thanks for the kind words.  I did know that Barbara had set up the interview, but a year ago she might have made the same request and it wouldn&#039;t have gone anywhere. 

You&#039;re right, this technology has its roots deep into a number of interrelated disciplines.  I sometimes think it&#039;s like Hermann Hesse&#039;s glass bead game, where all human knowledge was somehow brought to bear in the execution of the game.
